Whether you are visiting the Kansas City metro or call it home, we want you to get around with ease! From public transportation to ridesharing and car rentals, there are a variety of transportation options in Johnson County – whether you’re heading to a match, FIFA Fan Festival™ or one of the county’s many attractions. Johnson County United

To supplement the efforts of Kansas City’s ConnectKC26, Johnson County is also providing public transportation options through its Johnson County United transit service. Note: Times are approximate and may change due to traffic or weather.

To Kansas City International Airport: Johnson County United Drop and Ride

Direct, free shuttle service from Kansas City International Airport to Lenexa City Center and the Overland Park Convention Center.

 

  • Drop-off service only.

  • No long-term parking is available at the Overland Park Convention Center or Lenexa City Center.

  • Free of charge and available for all airport-related travel.

Finding the Bus at Kansas City International Airport

  1. After you get off the plane, head to baggage claim and follow the signs for Public Transit.

  2. Cross the crosswalk at column 1D.

  3. Turn left at column 3D.

  4. Catch the bus at column 3A.

 Finding the Bus at Overland Park Convention Center

  • Stop is located on the north side of OPCC facing I-435

  • Inside access to OPCC is only available during normal operating hours

  • Follow posted event and transit signage upon arrival


Finding the Bus at Lenexa City Center

  • Stop is located on the northwest corner of 87th St. and Scarborough/City Center Dr.

  • Inside access to LCC businesses is only available during normal operating hours

  • Follow posted event and transit signage upon arrival

Dates/Times of Operation

  • 30-minute frequencies daily between June 1-July 16

  • 60- minute frequencies daily beginning July 17, running as long as funding is available

  • Monday through Friday: 4 a.m. to 11 p.m.

  • Saturday: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Sunday: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Across Johnson County: Johnson County United Link

Public transit circulator routes connecting Johnson County cities.

 

Includes three routes overlapping at Oak Park Mall and connects the cities of Leawood, Lenexa, Merriam, Mission, Olathe, Overland Park and Shawnee.

Parking at the Link stops is very limited or may not be available. Riders are encouraged to consider alternate ways to get to the stops. Please note the following parking information.

  • Lenexa City Center: Time-limited street parking is available. Overnight parking in the garages is not permitted.

  • Mission Transit Center: Find parking information, including a map (click on the “Mission Transit Center” box).

  • Shawnee: Learn about public parking in Downtown Shawnee.

  • Operates June 9-July 13, buses arrive every 20 minutes

  • Standard Service (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.): June 9, 10, 11, 15, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30; July 2, 7, 8, 9, 13

  • Late Night Service (Noon to 2 a.m.): June 12, 13, 16, 20, 24, 25, 26; July 1, 4, 12

  • Maximum Service (2 p.m. to 4 a.m.): June 27; July 3, 11

  • Extended Service (10 a.m. to midnight): June 14, 19; July 5, 6, 10

ConnectKC26

ConnectKC26 is Kansas City’s official bus service for FIFA World Cup 2026™, with comfortable motorcoach buses to get you where you need to go with ease.

Region Direct

ConnectKC26 Region Direct can get you to 15 regional attractions and to FIFA Fan Festival™. It includes these stops in Johnson County:
 

Stadium Direct

Service to Kansas City Stadium (Arrowhead) on match days only. Includes a stop in Johnson County at Oak Park Mall.

Other Options

Johnson County Transit: In addition to our Johnson County United options, Johnson County has a regular everyday public transit service called RideKC in Johnson County. It includes buses and on-demand shared ride service.

E-Bike Rentals: Electric-assist bikes offer a boost up a hill or some extra speed for quick trips around town. In anticipation of the World Cup, Lenexa has around 30 e-bikes and Overland Park has around 100 e-bikes.

 

Rideshare & Taxis: Rideshares and taxis are available throughout Johnson County for flexible, on-demand travel.

 

Car Rentals: Car rentals are available across Johnson County to support your entire stay in the metro.
